I thought that we could have a thread dedicated to discussing latest Bollywood news, music and much more besides? What do you think?

I'm also in the process of constructing a website for this, where I will keep my readers' up-to-date with develpments in the Bollywood industry, upload latest music and much more!

Let's start off by discussing the music of Plan. What do you think? Is it better or worse than Kaante? Do you like this sort of music, or the more traditional Indian beats?

Also, what are your expectations of Kal Ho Naa Ho?

Have people seen the pic of Prince Charles opening The Rising?

Kal Ho Naa Ho will not fare that well in India, I don't think. It's extensively shot in New York and K3G didn't do as well as Kuch Kuch Hota Hai did in India; K3G did better in the UK. Do you think there is a motive behind Karan's influence to western audiences?

I think the music of Plan is not as good as Kaante. Im not saying Plan is not good, I love the music of Plan...but I think Kaante was way better.

I have big expectations from Kal Ho Naa Hoo as it is written by Karan Johar. Although the music was horrible, I still think the movie will be something to watch out for!

LoC...When are you uploading the music for it Eurimouse I think this is gonna be the soundtrack of the year!

plan will suck big time. all i know is that its gonna copy kaante in every possible way. its going to be flop. PROVE ME WRONG. throughout the movie, a viewer is going to be like... oh this was in kaante also

I don't thin kpersonally that Kal ho na ho will do well in India. As not it is extensively shot in USA, but due to the treatment of picture. I don't know what is the story line, but obviously looks like a love triangle. but I am tired of watching family values saga in posh & rich society. People just move from one place ot another & become instictively rich with amazing bungalows, designer ware clothes, designer jewelleries etc... Are these people ever going to grow up from making Yash Chopra kind of movies? Don't they all look alike? maahi ve song of kal ho na ho sounds & looks like an extension of bole chudiyan of K3g. Music by Sahnkar, ehsaan, loy is also quite average. Except the title song, none of the songs are extraordinarily good like their other albums.

Kal Ho Naa Ho will do great buissness in India, it is going to be a tear jerker and similar to Rajesh Khanna and Big B's Anand. Reason why film makers are making films to cater to the western audience is simple "money". Films like Taal and K3g earned huge amount of money in the west. It is getting very hard to get a big hit in India now, so that is why the producers are making films to cater to the west.

Janasheen will be a flop, LOC on the other hand will make waves. Even if LOC is not a good film (i think it will be a good movie), people will go and see it for the huge starcast and sentimental reasons.

I am hoping Khakee does good because it has my fave actors in it big B and Ajay Devgan.

Kal Ho Naa Ho is about a cancer patients relationship with his doctor and a girl who he helps immensly in life. It should be good and different. Have you seen the look of Jaya Bachchan in the movie. It is a family entertainer, but one that looks slightly different to the usual, personally.

LOC should do good business, as should Khakee.

LOC's audio release was yesterday, and from many industry reports, it was a brilliant release - let's hope the music is good. By the way, the music will be uploaded very soon. I've bought the CD and hope to rip it when I have the time. I've heard the first song on the album and it sounds brilliant!

There is a major Bollywood event taking place in Singapore at the end of November 2003. Apparently, Bollywood is massive in China and surrounding areas. I wondere why... it's good that Bollywood is slowly getting recognised. Bride and Prejudice of Gurinder Chaada, with Aishwariya Rai and the star from The Ring, should create waves and put Bollywood on the international market.

What are your views to this?

That's your lot! Hope you enjoy the music, though I must say that Anu Ji doesn't seem to be doing well at all - first Munna Bhai MBBS and now LOC... there's nothing in them at all. Seemayen Bulayen Tujhe seems to be the only tuneable song in the entire album - and it's still not very good! The twelve minute song - Main Kahin Bhi Rahoon - is absolutely ridiculous. I think the music will affect the cinema ratings whent the film releases because of the long songs.

And I thought this was the album with the 20 minute world record song time?
